In the end of the day what was most interesting about Gerald and Sara is not what they were but who they knew. One thing that this novel did do for me, it has inspired me to re-read Fitzgerald's TENDER IS THE NIGHT. Villa America is a detailed exploration into the “lost generation” and of the golden age of the 20s that was unable to last forever.
