About this deal

That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends.

As would often be expected in late November, some of the precipitation is likely to turn increasingly wintry, mainly on high ground in the north. While the flavour is very pleasant (making it, what one of the assembled company described as a good session malt) it was undistinguished. Temperatures will be around normal for the time of year, but in any drier interludes, particularly if the wind comes from a more easterly direction, temperatures could take a dip with some frost by night.Aberfeldy is the largest component malt of Dewars range of blends, but is also now increasingly well known as a single malt in its own right. Knowing your style and your tastes after 3 years I completely understand why this one sat for a long time unopened on your shelf.

Each and every Member must be of legal drinking age in its country of residence to be allowed to use the Service. This said, Aberfeldy 21 year old is still a bottle I love – It’s a woody whisky, but one where compassionate composition has pulled together a wonderful selection of flavours all of which are in tune with one another. On the palate, the whisky is clearly more well-rounded than the 12 year old, a bit meaty but also showcasing some chocolate notes as well as vanilla. The second bottle from No Nonsense Whisky’s inaugural independent bottling adventure hails from Aberfeldy. Further, we reserve the right to modify, change, discontinue the Service, add or remove features, update the Service, change its appearance, temporarily and permanently, at any time, in whole or any part thereof. This time it has an age statement (it's 21 years old), but it still features the smiling face of Ian Buxton, striking gold in Aberfeldy's water source, the Pitlie Burn. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remainder of the Terms shall continue in full force and effect. This expression is finished in oloroso Sherry casks, imparting decadent layers of juicy sweetness, spiced fruitcake, and dark chocolate to the whisky. The newly relaunched Connoisseur’s Choice range comes not only in smart, redesigned bottles, but also with plenty of pertinent information on label. We may terminate or temporarily suspend your account to protect you, ourselves or our partners from (suspected) identity theft or other (suspected) fraudulent (e.

That’s what we wondered so the inaugural meeting of the 101 Club – set up by a group of Edinburgh-based whisky enthusiasts to check out the whiskies in Ian Buxton’s book 101 Whiskies to Try Before You Die – was a side-by-side blind tasting of Aberfeldy’s own 21 year old and Gordon and McPhail’s bottling of a 20 year old single cask Aberfeldy. Aberfeldy 12 Years Old– Appropriately entry-level but bright and lively, the sweetly honeyed cereal and buttery biscuits of a predominantly bourbon-barreled single malt (plus some refill and a touch of sherry) are immediate on both nose and palate. It's rare to find quality casks of this age, especially those that have imparted such silky complexity. Re-fill and re-char casks provide a perfect harmony of rich Sherry casks and vanilla laden Bourbon casks. There is also the risk of colder temperatures, particularly overnight, though nothing unusually cold for the time of year is currently signalled. finish:soothing amount of spice with a dash of smoke and pictures of red sierra mountains off in the distance over the horizon as the sun wishes you a pleasant evening with a wink and smile. It didn't offer me the complexity that I was looking for nor offer me anything unusual, to be honest.
