About this deal

Before they leave James seeks Juliette out. He is upset that they are supposed to be friends but he had to find out from other people that she killed someone. She tells him everything. They hug and she goes off to her mission. NAZEERA COULD CHOKE ME WITH HER BARE HANDS AND I WOULD THANK HER FOR IT. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO BLESSED BY A FEMALE FRIENDSHIP. HER CHALLENGING KENJI ABOUT COVERING HER HAIR. HER FLIPPING HIM OFF. HER POWERS. HER KINDNESS AND COMPANIONSHIP. I'M UTTERLY DECEASED I'll do whatever it takes to have you, including letting you use me to fulfill every need and desire you have,"

I, personally, despise widowed wife x dead husband's bestfriend. would i have read this if i knew that was the trope? no. it's my fault really, i heard it brings depression and i flew to read it. did it deliver? no, only one chapter made me emotional 😒 if the wife still loves her dead husband, i immediately hate the book because in my book universe, only one man exists for the fmc. sloane just needed a hug and to stop catering to everyone else in her life. she was an amazing heroine and her respect for her husband’s family was such a sweet part of the story. but i’m sorry sloane, dom is the absolute star of the show here.I feel most sad for the complete ruin of Warner. His character was always the interesting one. The one we knew hardly anything about, which made him mysterious. But what we did know, we loved. We wanted more because under his shell was a broken boy we all loved and yet still admired for his quiet compassion and resilience in the face of it all. His unaffectedness about how the world viewed him, his utter love and belief in Juliette, his untiring strength. All of these gone with this book. He’s become an anxiety ridden, depressed, clingy person who came across as pathetic and pitiable. Things the Warner from the previous books would’ve hated to be seen as. And after three books of building him up as an unlikely hero, of shifting perspectives and seeing how he was truly a man of unexpected kindness and not heartless cruelty, he’s somehow again been made into an unsuspecting villain, by Juliette of all people. To derail the great growth of Warner’s character and the way that we as readers have come to see him, was such a shame. Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me series has sold more than a million books. It’s a YA dystopian series centering around a girl named Juliette. Juliette has a very unique power in that anyone she touches dies. I close my eyes, steeling myself against the unwelcome strain in my chest, the clippers still humming in my clenched fist.

Kenji spins around. Yanks the gun out of Warner’s hand. “What the hell is wrong with you, man? I thought we were cool.” But the main reason I disliked this is because Dominic was such a child. When it comes to the enemies-to-lovers trope, there needs to be a solid reason for the hatred between the MCs and this book did not deliver. The only reason Dominic hated Sloane is because he liked her first before she married his best friend. I can accept some animosity because of this for a few months, maybe. But 12 years?? Grow the hell up.

And when the heroine asked you to give her up, you defended the situation by telling her your ex is your friend and she needs you. If I were her, I would be telling you to take a hike until you were really over your ex. But there is one thing I have loved about each of the books in the series, despite any negative opinions I may have had, and that is Tahereh’s beautiful writing style. Her writing is just so unique, and it is that very reason that I continued reading this series, despite the fact that I wasn’t captivated by the plot of the first book.

This,” Warner says, spinning around so I might inspect the damage, “is not trimming the edges, you incompetent moron—” In the morning, Juliette is much better but thinks the sun is very bright when it is actually snowing. They believe there is still poison in her system. Restore Me is a new favorite of the year. I had a feeling this book was going to be amazing after some friends raved about it, and of course it was! If you love Kennedy Ryan’s writing, this author will really work for you. I cannot wait to read more from this author. Juliette learns that filling the Supreme Commander’s shoes is harder than it looks. She’s struggling to learn the ins and outs of The Reestablishment, manage her relationship with Warner, and put up a front that she knows what she’s doing. Visitors at Sector 45. A still weak, Kenji announces he is still going with them. Adam, Kenji, and Juliette save some civilians but Juliette is captured. She is taken to the little house. Anderson is there, he tells her this is Warner’s mother’s home. He tells her Warner fought for control of the Sector to be near her. He has also brought Sonya and Sara, the Omega Point healers, here, to heal his legs where Juliette shot him. Warner is there too. Anderson shoots Juliette in the chest and leaves.

Now there were some times of miscommunication that could be avoided, but i guess it was in line with their character and the things they went through and it added to the tension so i guess i didn't mind it that much. Overall i loved it and i will definetely read the rest of this series and more from this author. Addictive, intense, and oozing with romance. I'm envious. I couldn't put it down." – Lauren Kate, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Fallen series every five seconds, red clouds his vision. and if that's not enough, it clouds her vision too. *eye twitch.* convinced they're vampires. The short answer is Yes! You can skip the novellas. They aren’t necessary at all to understand the main story.
