Once Mater loses his breath, he slows down and realizes the light is merely a lamp. McQueen and the other residents tease him, before hurriedly heading to sleep once more.
Throughout the series, McQueen has been seen with various different names and appearances, notably in the Cars Toons shorts/comic. This is the only Cars film, to have a VHS release (though rare), and the first to have a Blu-ray release. In the story mode of Cars: The Videogame, Sally is one of the cars that competes in the Radiator Springs Grand Prix, Lightning's dream race. When he awakes in the Cozy Cone Motel, Sally is there to greet him, who informs him that there are new cars in town that are looking to race with him, as well as that Doc is waiting for him out at Willy's Butte. In Cars: Mater-National Championship, Luigi and Guido are showing off their new paint jobs when Lightning and Mater drive up, asking them why they are painted like that. They get excited when Giovanni drives up, and challenges them to a race, although Guido does not compete. During this, Lightning and Cruz watch old footage of Doc's races. They see that he used the drafting technique to gain speed and see him use the barricade to flip over another car who tried to ram him into the wall. On their final day of training, McQueen manages to pull ahead on the speedway, but Cruz still wins. They have to head to Florida for the race.
In Miss Fritter's Racing Skoool, McQueen and Cruz Ramirez watch a commercial for Miss Fritter's Racing Skoool. Later after watching the commercial, McQueen notices one of his trophies toppled and broke, explaining to Cruz that going to Miss Fritter's school program is too dangerous to attend.

Among the residents of the town, she takes the most interest in the history of the town, and during Radiator Springs' lowest point, felt a great deal of sadness when reminicising about what the town was like prior to the construction of Interstate 40 and the removal of the area from maps. However, these feelings were nullified when Lightning McQueen declared the town his official racing headquarters, which restored the interest and attention the town once received.You drive the hard bargain.
