I had such a blast and you’re both amazing women. Standard boudoir shoots involve about an hour of Victoria’s Secret-inspired hair and makeup. This gives clients a second to get in the zone before, you know, taking their clothes off. And the photographers suggested I incorporate something similar— hair and makeup, sexy music, a glass (or two) of wine—into my own nude selfie shoots. I don't have much of a problem being naked around people (just ask my poor, poor roommates), but even I thought this period of mental preparation sounded like a good idea. Laugh away, but the moodboard helped me figure out what I wanted my nudes to look like. It also helped me find photo inspiration, see what poses I liked, and compile lingerie I was into.

I was lousy in bed. I wrote my first sex book because I hated sex. I couldn’t have an orgasm with a man! We recommend moisturising your skin regularly in the run-up to the day, as well as applying a light moisturiser on the morning of your shoot. As you will have a lot of skin on show, hair removal (if desired) is important too but we recommend getting this done a couple of days before, or on the morning if this works for you.

First, I met with three boudoir photographers to learn the “rules” of boudoir.

She was excited to do a shoot because she thought it would be a blast to let her inner sex goddess out, put on some sexy lingerie (which she did not even own at the time), get pampered, and escape reality for a while. She had never done anything like this before and said she was definitely nervous as the shoot date approached. The session itself was so much fun. Although I was a little nervous before we started, within 5 minutes of walking through the door my nerves went away. Tennille has a gift for making you instantly feel confident and beautiful. She will walk you through every pose and position so that you look like the best version of yourself. So Mrs. P texted me a couple weeks after her first session and asked me if I’d be open to photographing her again, tastefully of course and below the belt.
