The best way to use this stain remover is to pour a capful of it directly into the drum of your machine, right along with your load of laundry. The product is not suitable for wool, silk, and colored items. In the case of white items with resistant colors, try the product diluted on a hidden part of the fabric. The product is suitable for all nonporous surfaces: floors, tiles, bathtubs, showers, kitchen sinks. Do not use it on copper, brass, aluminum, and porous surfaces such as granite and wood. Very few stain removers can be used on delicate materials like wool or silk, but there is one product on our list that can be used on most materials while remaining both affordable and effective. This stand-out product is Ace Gentle Stain Remover. Do you have sensitive skin? Blood stains are typically more stubborn than others due to its organic properties. Filled with proteins, blood is conditioned to bind together when heated. This therefore makes it set fast into our clothes and fabrics, ultimately resulting in a stubborn stain.

Washing up liquid is a solution for this type of stain too; as it’s meant to cut through grease on dishes, it cuts through grease on clothes too. Rub a little bit of the liquid directly onto the stain, rinse with cold water and wash the garment as usual. Or, another solution would be to pre-treat the stain with ACE Stain Remover Spray, leave it for a few minutes, then wash with your usual detergent and 2 capfuls of ACE Ultra for Colours. Grass, Mud and Blood Stains Another option is washing up liquid; after scraping off as much of the crayon as possible using a blunt utensil, work the liquid into the stain, leave for 5 minutes and rinse with warm water. Wash as normal using your ACE products and their school uniforms will be free of stains. Chalk Stains We used ACE for colours when cleaning some of Erin’s brighter clothes including Cerise Pinks, Turquoises and Purples. ACE for colours is very easy to use – simply add a capful into your washing machine along with your usual detergent or for really difficult stains, you can pre treat the fabrics before they go in. You can also use ACE for Colours with hand washing, adding 100ml of ACE with your usual detergent, soaking for an hour and then rinsing thoroughly. De-Solv-it’s product is great for stains of all kinds and is effective on both clothes and furniture. They advise that the best course of action is to test the product on a discreet area before using it in an entire wash cycle or on a piece of furniture. Depending on how bad the stain is (how old it is), it is best to leave the stain remover to soak in overnight.There is a chance that really deep stains in clothes may not come out at all. If the stain has dyed the fabric, it is nearly impossible to lift it and remove it. You can also leave the clothes in a solution of your chosen stain remover and water overnight. Just ensure there is enough stain remover in the solution that it can loosen the stain. No matter if an apron or a jumper is worn, kids are bound to get paint absolutely everywhere – and worst of all, on their white school shirts! Although it’s common for schools to use water-based, washable paints, these can unfortunately still stain. This process is very similar to the one above, however instead of using ACE for Colours, we recommend using ACE for Whites instead. It will keep your whites cleaner for longer and, by adding ACE Ultra for Whites to your wash, it will revive the whiteness even more!
