About this deal

The first book in the series, The Hypnotist, was selected for the Richard and Judy Book Club and the most recent, Stalker, went straight to No. Nuimu žvaigždę už nuklydimą į nusikalstamą pasaulį / šunų peštynių ringą, kuris nelabai ko davė siužetui ir toks jausmas, kad įdėtas vien dėl šokiravimo. If this was written in the 70’s (or even in the 90’s) perhaps it would be acceptable, but not nowadays, when there are so many updated studies and more understanding around the topic.

The images in particular from an underground fighting / betting meet were so warped that I frankly decided I just didn’t need this my head. livro lê-se mesmo muito bem, isto por ter capítulos curtos e uma narrativa bem construída que, simplesmente, flui. The young women who were held captive break your heart and the twists and turns in this tale had me glued to the pages. Seventeen-year-old Jenny is abducted in broad daylight and taken to run down, isolated house where she is chained and caged along with several other girls. It so needed to be done because all those nagging doubts and questions were in fact answered in a very credible way.Por outro lado, temos a personagem mais chata, mas que entendo o porquê de estar presente na história, o psiquiatra Dennis. relação a toda a conclusão do crime, os Lars prezam sempre por uma solução pacífica e que acabe tudo bem. Like I said these authors keep things smooth but the setting of the table took some time and hopped around a bit. Making Martin’s mental illness a key plot point is a risky move in a crime novel, but he is mostly treated with care and thoughtfulness.

Linna finds ways to get inside the heads of the most heinous killers and gets to the root of the crime. He is a likeable character, who obviously has a back story but, as this is the first book in the series I have read, I don’t know what it is in detail. In fact, it's a great book, four stars just because giving a five to a detective about a maniac (if it's not "The Silence of the Lambs") is nonsense. Joona Linna is a protagonist like few others, with many of her personal struggles front and centre in the novel. This was a dark, intriguing read and I look forward to adding more of the books in the series to my TBR. While Linna and the Swedish police begin trying to piece things together, Mia and her fellow captives are thrust into a world of torture and pain at the hands of a heinous woman. Like all of the other books in this series, this one is self contained and can be read as a stand-alone as there are no loose ends left to tie up. His mental illness is almost portrayed as an explicitly good thing in the context of the story, but the book still runs into the trouble that he is a mentally ill person who is a serial killer, even if he only engages in violence when sane. National Crime Agent, Joona, is on the case and the book follows his investigations into their disappearance.
