Terzo perchè lo stile di Asimov è ineguagliabile, ha una scrittura talmente delicata, accogliente e poetica che non si può non essere colpiti. As you can see from that very rough overview, not much happens but it happens over a long period of time. So, having denigrated the object of my early SF literary admiration, let me say that I haven't read anything of Asimov's that isn't pretty good. Eventually, he secludes Wanda and the others to establish the Second Foundation in secret, which later turns out to be at the same Imperial Library of Trantor. In a previous Foundation book review (I forget which one) I mentioned that there are no aliens in the Foundation series. As such it had for me at least an aura of sadness throughout, exacerbated by the sad demises of several of Seldon's loved ones.Me parece que si su obra de ciencia ficción es tan reconocida, no es por el manejo de las palabras, sino por el manejo de los conceptos. pretty bad compared to the rest of the series and especially it's predecessor Prelude to Foundation.

The last published Foundation book, written by Asimov (a few more titles written by other authors were published subsequently). These books are by no means perfect and suffer from bland prose, often poor characterization and sexism but as a whole, this series is some of the best sci fi that anyone can read.
