Benn was published in 1970 ( ISBN 0-234-77361-8) and tells the story of Mr Benn as a convict (hence the number) inspiring his jail-mates to brighten up their cells. Originally four different designs, the 2017 Westminster Attack caused the decision to not produce the final image of Mr Benn facing his adversaries outside the Houses of Parliament and next to the bridge in question. The cover may have some limited signs of wear but the pages are clean, intact and the spine remains undamaged.

Following the welcomed re-release of Big-Top Benn comes another addition to the immensely popular collection of original Mr Benn adventures by author and illustrator David McKee. There are four separate Extraordinary Adventures, with Mr Benn becoming a diver, red knight, caveman and spaceman.Mr Benn can understand that being locked up makes people sad but he finds it hard to know why the men all cry so much until he meets Smasher Lagru, the self-proclaimed boss of the prison, who explains that it is the greyness that gets everyone down so much. Anthony Wedgwood Benn (1925 Ð 2014) known as Tony Benn fought to renounce his title which he inherited on his father's death as he wanted to remain an MP.

Mr Benn helps King Neptune and his mermaid friend outwit the crews of two submarines, who are out to find and photograph the King's pet sea monster. The Extraordinary Adventures of Mr Benn by David McKee is in the Bookbag's Christmas Gift Recommendations 2009. Finding himself on a road in the process of being built, Mr Benn sees the Emperor pass by in his chariot who demands that Mr Benn be taken to the Arena to fight. Benn-Red Knight, copyright 1968, first American edition, hard cover, DUST JACKET, written and illustrated by David McKee. Mr Benn helps the crew of a pirate ship, who are determined not to be pirates, turn their Captain into an honest man, and see that he gets a very different sort of treasure for his island: trees from a crew of gardeners whose ship the pirates pretend to capture, but actually rescue, during a storm. In this story he asks for a suit of red armour and once he has donned it, he goes out through a different door and meets a dragon who needs Mr Benn's help to put right a wrong.
