If you have a longer lawn you might need to get out your grass trimmer before letting the LawnMaster do its thing. This will mean it will get stuck on any lawn that is an “island” (yet still connected via a narrow boundary wire).

It’s very manoeuvrable, so does a good job of bumping into things, reversing and extracting itself from tight corners. The transformer supplied with the L10 is IP rated so can be left outside, however, you will require an external power socket (or plugged inside) to connect it to a mains power source. If, like us, you have one of these “island” lawns, and the mower tries to follow the boundary wire into it, it will get stuck at the narrow entrance. It’s a great feeling watching it bimble about while you’re sat on the patio with a cup of tea or a glass of wine.It’s got everything you would expect from a robot lawn mower including a rain sensor, automated and manual perimeter cutting, easy to change dial height adjustments and super precise blades. We have a couple of areas of lawn that are a small cul-de-sac so that when the robot ventures into those areas it often takes a lot of toing and froing before it eventually finds its way out. Oh yes and one more tip that I found helpful in other reviews is that when you are laying the boundary wire it needs to be run anticlockwise round the garden starting at the charging end of the docking Station and the wire starting at that end needs to be connected into the red connection point, the wire that you feed under the docking station to connect in at the charging end needs to go into the black connection, if you get it the wrong way round you will confuse the poor thing and it won't work! Often, when approaching set-up, you may be greeted with something user-friendly – and some models have smartphone connectivity capabilities, working with an app or Alexa. Secondly there must be a few bumps in the garden and after setting the mower to 25mm cutting depth it kept getting bumped up again to 35.
