About this deal

Politics has no bound from here, as he majorly targets former President Parvez Musharraf and his government for being US ally, and destroying Pakistan’s welfare for many incidents. In the book, Khan details Pakistan's history; his political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf; and his own life and cricket career.

His latest project, MASTERS OF MYSTERY (forthcoming November 2011, Palgrave Macmillan) explores Arthur Conan Doyle's and Harry Houdini's incredible friendship and fascination with Spiritualism. This is a warts and all story so whilst Imran’s love of Pakistan it’s people and his faith is solid, he sees the flaws, fatal flaws in many instances, which drives so many Pakistanis abroad. I think he is bit autistic which keeps him focus on his goals , believes in himself, makes him fearless , an honest person . Many many aspects are surrendered to throw in Imran’s way like rivalries with politicians Altaf Hussain and Nawaz Sharif, General Musharraf’s imposing of martial law and beginning of his dictatorial regime, a disturbed marriage with Jemima, libel case against Ian Botham and Allan Lamb, and failure in general elections. the practicing Muslim boogieing on the dancefloor of Annabel's; an "astonishing lovemaker," according to one overnight partner; praised by Diana Princess of Wales, close friend to his then wife Jemima Goldsmith, as a "devoted husband"?I have been following IK ‘s political career for last 18 months and followed his cricketing career for longer . For western world he has given an insight , how Pakistan has been repeatedly used by the west and by the elites of the country for their own gains at the terrible cost of the country and her people. In “Warrior Race: A Journey Through the Land of the Tribal Pathans,” Imran Khan explores the rich cultural heritage of the Pathan tribes in Pakistan.

He talked about his relationship with his ex-wife, Jemima Khan, and the "hate campaign" built around him. A must-read for anyone interested in the intrigue of politics in the most dangerous country on earth” (The Sunday Times)Read the unique insider’s view of a country unfamiliar to a Western audience, seen through the eyes of the man set to become Pakistan’s new Prime Minister. Imran Khan, former cricket celebrity, philanthropist and turned politician, seems to have changed the decorum of Pakistan’s botched-up political landscape. Acclaimed biographer Christopher Sandford has approached a richly varied cast list of Imran associates past and present? Mind you, there isn’t too much about Khan’s rise to fame and glory in cricket, other than occasional references to various incidents, both good and bad ones.Imran provides a very interesting insight into the current situation and what are the reasons for this situation. This item may ship from the US or other locations in India depending on your location and availability. Sandford do increase the volume of Imran over major incidents occurred in Pakistan cricket like 2003 World Cup, India’s 2004 tour of Pakistan and Hair-Inzamam controversy.

I initially thought Pakistan: A Personal History would be addressed to and meant for young Pakistanis, ones who would vote in the next elections, but no, by the time I finished this book, I got the feeling that Khan was trying to explain Pakistan to the West, to ask for greater understanding (not sympathy- Khan is too proud for that) and respect. I had read Javed Miandad’s Cutting Edge where he reflected his cricketing career and dirty games played behind the scenes. Entry of Jemima Goldsmith and launching of his political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (Pakistan Movement for Justice). Therefore they are deeply suspicious of any attempt towards westernization – particularly women’s liberation. There is another story of how Khan’s tips helped his brother-in-law Ben Goldsmith, who had lost about 10,000 pounds spread betting on cricket, recoup his losses.

When the corruption-ridden Nawaz Sharif regime was ousted, he was widely acclaimed as a hero by the masses in Pakistan, as if a Messiah has descended upon them from heaven to solve all their problems. Fourth chapter depicts life in Sussex county, political crisis of late 70’s and further more tours including 1979 World Cup.Khan does offer an explanation by quoting Iqbal who said that ‘ when a State is governed without the moral values that are rooted in religion then naked materialism is likely to replace it – exactly the observation made by Mohandas Gandhi when he remarked, ‘those who say religion has nothing to do with politics do not know what religion is. One may not agree with everything that Khan has to say, but one is forced to admit that Khan has passion, drive and determination for his cause. Drawing on the experiences of his own family and his wide travels within his homeland, Pakistan: A Personal History provides a unique insider’s view of a country unfamiliar to a western audience. No, Imran Khan’s books cover a wide range of topics, including politics, sports, social issues, and personal memoirs. Most alarmingly, when it comes to the most strangest decision of Imran’s captaincy of declaring the inning when Miandad on crease is 20 runs short of triple century.
