About this deal

Don’t ask me why … it’s not like you can’t love a spicy-oriental diva scent and a white-floral diva, both.

Se i soggetti o gli autori avessero qualcosa in contrario alla pubblicazione, non avranno che da segnalarcelo, e provvederemo prontamente alla rimozione delle immagini utilizzate. I know the modern iteration is a reformulation et cetera, but even if it isn’t as good as the original, you can tell that this, in whatever form IFRA allows it to exist in now, is derived from a time when perfume was something you wore as a declaration. I would argue that along with Carnal Flower and Truth or Dare this is the ultimate tuberose, a flower I am obsessed with it would seem! The fragrance was not the same, the power was not there, it was like a watery ghost of the fragrance I have loved for many years.A big bouquet of flowers--I really get the peach and orange blossom at the opening before the tuberose comes in, balanced by lily of the valley to keep things fresh. I guess what I mean is that I’m trying my best not to use “feminine” as a description of why I don’t like something anymore, because it’s really not a helpful descriptor if scent truly is genderless, which I believe it is. Men of all generations, boyfriends, a friend’s boyfriend (reminded him of the gardenias in garden growing up). Tuberose piqued my interest after I realised that a couple of white floral fragrances I had tried and like contained this note. The old bottle has softer notes -tuberose apart- and Violet, Bergamot and Jasmin appear almost smudged, "blurred", "overlapped", almost non recognizable each other.

Beautifully smooth and just the right amount of sweet, this feminine classic is French in style, utterly chic yet daring. Turin, while often hilarious, does NOT seem to share my tastes and I’ve had many moments of absolute bafflement while reading his reviews… I sometimes wonder if we’re even smelling the same perfume. As Chandler Burr once said, "There are perfume legends, there are perfumer legends, and then there are perfumes that become obsessions. BTW, for orange blossoms, you will probably want to try Serge Lutens’ Fleurs d’Orangeur or something. it´s definitely not that bad as some people suggest and I guess if you like Drakkar there is a big chance you´ll like Fracas as well.I think it might not be to everyone's tastes because it reminds you either of Drakkar Noir (some guys don't like that one) and Aventus which is also quite unpopular at the moment. This fragrance lasts quite a while, if you were to spray this in the evening you will notice you still smell like a tuberose princess the next morning. Ferris, I absolutely love your open-mindedness towards scents, as well as your surprising love for white florals.

I mentioned right now am browsing Surrender to chance and she said she is also browsing 😀 and alllll due to you dear 😀 …. This definitely checked all my boxes for a heavy white floral, but importantly I don't find this cloying in any way. I’ve been reading a lot of men who apparently wear Shalimar, which I initially found sort of surprising. But here it's akin to Chanel's Egoiste; aromatic, green, herbal, a rose with a more green and sour note, nothing powdery or super girly. It's so glamorous, so ravishing, and has so much presence that there are certain situations when it feels too much; at an intimate dinner, for instance, it might make feel like a pushy uninvited guest.
