About this deal

The Watch 4 features Samsung’s own Exynos W920 chipset and 1.5GB of RAM. Throughout our testing time we’ve found this to be enough power to run a variety of apps smoothly without any slowdown. This is one of the fastest smartwatches we’ve ever used. But while the wide selection of wearables is great for choice, it can also make the decision of which to buy a difficult one. With so many wearables focusing on specific types of user and the market, and many still costing a fair amount of cash, how can you be sure that you’re getting the right smartwatch for your needs? Compatible hardware and software required. Not all content available in Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos. With the fourth generation of Samsung smartwatches, you can choose between the Galaxy Watch4 and the Galaxy Watch4 Classic. The Galaxy Watch4 is the modern or sportier looking variant. It differs from the Classic version primarily through a simpler housing design. The Watch4 is in a cheaper aluminium case. This makes the watch with the available diameters of 40 and 44 mm more compact. Compared to the steel case of the Watch4 Classic , it is also noticeably lighter. Depending on the size selected, it weighs around 20 g less, for a total of 26 or 30 g. New interface and 4 Colour Variants

The biggest upgrade for the SE 2 is the included S8 chipset, which is the exact same processor found within the far pricier Apple Watch 8. This means that you’re getting the same speedy performance of Apple’s latest wearable, so when it comes to day to day use, you’re not penalised by opting for the cheaper watch. If you’re into ultra running, diving, or long-distance cycling then this would be a good choice as it can stand up to the environment and has much-improved battery life by comparison to the standard line of Apple Watches, lasting up to 60 hours when in low-power mode. The 44mm Galaxy Watch 4, which is the model we reviewed, is powered by a 361mAh battery, and battery life proved strong during our testing time - we found the smartwatch would last at least two days from a single charge even with intensive use, and if you’re not regularly using fitness features, you can expect the watch to last for a full three days. The Blood Pressure app is not intended for any diagnostic purposes regarding hypertension or other heart conditions or users under 22 years old. Users should not interpret or take clinical action based on the device output without consultation of a qualified healthcare professional. The Blood Pressure app is not intended to replace traditional methods of diagnosis or treatment. Galaxy Watch4 has a water resistance rating of 50 meters under the ISO standard 22810:2010. It is not suitable for diving or high-pressure water activities. If the device or your hands are wet, they must be dried thoroughly prior to handling. There’s nothing as fancy as temperature sensors, ECG readings or automatic crash detection like the flagship models from Apple and Samsung, but that’s not surprising given the price. We like the variety of exercise modes, and the readings reflected our efforts when tested in the gym.

While it can’t compete with the iOS-powered models in terms of software or build quality, after wearing it for a few weeks we’re convinced that it’s perfect for beginners, or anyone who needs a smart looking watch for the basics. The strap is comfy to wear all day, the body is small and lightweight and its battery life is among the best we’ve tested – easily lasting for a week at a time. What really helps the TicWatch to stand out (particularly against the Pixel Watch) is its phenomenal battery life. Under the right circumstances, it’s entirely possible for the Pro 5 to get from Monday to Friday on a single charge which just absolutely decimates the competition in this area. Even the latest Samsung watches struggle to get past two-days of use. Intended for general wellness and fitness purposes only. Not intended for use in detection, diagnosis, treatment of any medical condition or disease. The measurements are for your personal reference only. Please consult a medical professional for advice. Both models are made of aluminum. The dimensions of the 40mm model are 40.4 x 39.3 x 9.8mm with a weight of 25.9g, while the 44mm is 44.4 x 43.3 x 9.8mm and weighs 30.3g. Device activation is only available after connecting to a smartphone that supports Google Mobile Services(GMS). Please refer to your device manufacturer to find out whether your smartphone supports Google Mobile Services(GMS). In addition to the improved mapping, Garmin has added a new heart rate sensor which, in theory, should produce more accurate results than before. In testing however, we struggled to see any noticeable difference with the newer sensor, so if you want the most accurate data possible then we still recommend grabbing a chest-worn heart rate strap.
