About this deal

I think that is it wonderful for upper KS2 classrooms and school libraries to be able to offer this book in their collections, to encourage children to read for sheer joy. His last short film Marfa had its World Premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for a BAFTA for Best British Short Animation. Myles and his brother Greg won the BAFTA Children's Award for Learning Primary in 2011 for their work writing, producing and directing Quiff and Boot, an animation for Children's BBC Learning.

I haven't charted out my visits for the summer term, but I'm sure there are several in the south) and thanks so much for being so fantastic! Knight Sir Louis has defeated dragons, goblins and evil wizards but when he is sent to do battle with Borax the Dragon, even he is not prepared for the mayhem that follows …the second in the series which started with KNIGHT SIR LOUIS AND THE DREADFUL DAMSEL! They have written and illustrated four books for adults, including CATS and BREEDS (Square Peg, PRH) and HOW CREATE YOUR OWN UNIVERSE and A BOOK OF BRILLIANT IDEAS (Michael O'Mara.Charge into this hilarious and totally bonkers new series from BAFTA award-winning duo, The Brothers McLeod - perfect for fans of Wimpy Kid, Tom Gates and Mr Gum. You guys were so fab and Dawn was such a lovely presence in the schools - I will absolutely be in touch next time I'm in your neck of the woods. With the slimy Sir Lyme ensconced in the palace and feeding everyone his seemingly endless supply of green gummy sweets, Louis sets off to find out what’s going on, leaving his friend wizentor Pearlin and her two-headed pet dragon Mac N Cheese to keep an eye on things at home. Unfortunately, King Burt the Not Bad is also not too clever and is rather easily duped by the oleaginous stranger, Squire Lyme, who arrives at Sideways Castle and charms the king with obsequious flattery and a bag of green gummies!

Knight Sir Louis, champion knight at Castle Sideways, has been sent on another important mission – he must face the dastardly, double-headed dragon, Borax! With his trusty mechanical steed, Clunkalot, and his magical sword, Dave, he manages to fight off an invasion of garden gnomes before breakfast! There was just the right amount of choice to suit everyone without being overwhelming and I received comments from parents and staff about the quality of books offered compared to previous sales which have always been based around current crazes and well known celebrity authors. Time for Knight Sir Louis to step up again, but oh dear, King Burt the Not Bad has banished his knight and appointed the not-quite-as-charming-as-he-seems Squire now Knight Sir Lyme in his place. This had me snorting throughout, it’s a quirky quest story about a knight on a mission to protect the kingdom of King Burt from all kinds of nasty threats. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

As the Brothers McLeod, Myles and Greg have worked for clients such as Disney, Aardman, the BBC, ITV, Dreamworks, and the RSC. He has defeated hungry dragons, evil goblins and horrible wizards (but please nobody mention wasps, Knight Sir Louis is absolutely NOT afraid of them). But Louis is suspicious about the stranger, Squire Lyme, with his charming compliments and endless supply of green gummies .Your words, like your reviews, bring books to life and give them a voice before the front cover is even turned. They have produced animation for Disney, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Science Museum (London), the BBC and Aardman Animation. Louis learns that perhaps the only hope of stopping the fiendish foe is a long-lost, ancient Thingamabob – a talisman with watery powers. Author Myles McLeod is here to read us an extract from the brand new Knight Sir Louis book The Sinister Snowball - get ready for lots and lots of silliness! Furthermore, his mission is not made any easier with the tricksy jester Merry-Jingles constantly trying to steal his thunder.

He is the author of the middle grade (6 to 12 year old) series "Knight Sir Louis" published by Guppy Books. It’s a fantastic independent book seller that will actually be responsive and select appropriate books for you.

Written by Myles and illustrated by Greg, the brothers are well-known in the tv world for their animation, including series Circle Square on Channel 5’s Milkshake. His TV credits include Hey Duggee, Clangers, Octonauts and his game-writing credits include SpongeBob SquarePants and iCarly. Knight Sir Louis is the hero and despite still being a boy he exhibits all the skill, bravery and intelligence of a king’s champion, which is the position we find him in at the start.
